  • Born: Septermber 4th, 1927
  • Died: October 4th, 2011
  • Invented the programming language of LISP
  • Developed the concept of computer time sharing and initiated the development of the first display based time sharing system allowing multiple people at different places to use a certian computer system at the same time.
  • Introduced Artificial Intellegence at a conference at Dartmouth College.
  • Developed the first hand-eye computer system.
  • He taught at Princeton, Stanford, and Dartmouth. At Stanford he was the founding director of the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab.

  • Born: December 9th, 1906
  • Died: January 1st, 1992
  • Created the programming language FLOW-MATIC which was the first programming language to use word commands.
  • Worked on COBOL (common business-oriented language) whuch became he 70's most extensively used computer language.
  • Created the Mark l at Harvard which is an extremely early electronic computer.
  • Helped created UNIVAC which is the first general-purpose electronic digital computer.
  • She has degress of mathematics and physics from Vassar College and a masters and Ph.D. from Yale. She also joined the US Navel Reserve.

  • He has a masters degree in math and computer science from the Universtiy of Amsterdam. He has worked at Amoeba distributed operating system, Google, the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology, Dropbox, and is currently working at Mircosoft.
